Parmigiano Reggiano can be enjoyed at any time of day. In the kitchen it is extremely versatile, great to eat on its own as a snack simply accompanied by bread, served up as an aperitif with a glass of fine wine, chutneys or fresh fruit, or an excellent companion to enrich various dishes: grated or in slivers it adds zest and aroma to pasta, risotto, soups, but also to side dishes of cooked or fresh vegetables. In addition, it makes an indispensable ingredient when preparing filled pasta, savoury tarts and many, many other recipes.
Lactose-free: Parmigiano Reggiano is naturally lactose-free since the typical manufacturing process eliminates the lactose present in the milk during the very first stages of production and guarantees a galactose content of less than 0.01%.
